How much does an estate plan cost?

Estate planning varies from state to state and what your estate plan entails can vary. If you’re reading this, then hopefully you’ve figured out that this applies to California only.

All of my plans are flat fee. A comprehensive estate plan includes a trust, will, financial power of attorney, healthcare power of attorney, and a deed transferring title of a California residence into the trust. For that one deed, I pay the recording fees on the deed. And for all the documents, I am a notary and provide that service myself.

There are some circumstances when people do not need a comprehensive plan, but it truly depends on the circumstances.

I won’t publish my rates here, for many reasons - mostly because of the longevity of websites — and the need to keep fees current when things like recording fees increase. However, if you contact me for an initial consultation, I will provide you with my fees. It’s important to me that this be an up front conversation and there are no questions about it down the line. I look forward to speaking with you!
